The Keyence PS-N12N is a compact, high-performance amplifier unit designed for use with separate photoelectric sensor heads in industrial automation applications. Operating on a 24 VDC power supply, it features an NPN open-collector output with a maximum control current of 100 mA (20 mA when used with expansion units) and a residual voltage of 1 V or less. The amplifier offers rapid response times across various modes: 500 µs (TURBO), 1 ms (SUPER), 4 ms (ULTRA), and 16 ms (MEGA). It includes selectable LIGHT-ON/DARK-ON operation modes, multiple timer functions (OFF-delay, ON-delay, One-shot, Timer-OFF), and supports up to 16 expansion units, allowing for a total of 17 connected units. The PS-N12N is housed in a durable polycarbonate casing, measuring 32.6 mm × 9.8 mm × 78.7 mm, and weighs approximately 65 g.
