Product Description

​The Panasonic EX-24A is an ultra-compact photoelectric sensor from the EX-20 series (Ver.2), designed for precise object detection in space-constrained applications. It utilizes a convergent reflective (diffused beam) sensing method with a front-sensing configuration, offering a sensing range between 2 to 25 mm when detecting a 50 x 50 mm white non-glossy paper target at a 10 mm setting distance. The sensor features a sensitivity adjuster for fine-tuning detection parameters. It operates with a supply voltage of 12 to 24 V DC (±10%) and consumes 13 mA or less. The output is an NPN open-collector transistor with a maximum sink current of 50 mA, suitable for DC-12 or DC-13 utilization categories. The response time is 0.5 ms or less, ensuring quick detection. Housed in a compact enclosure rated IP67 (IEC), the sensor is protected against dust and water ingress. Operating temperature ranges from -25°C to +55°C, and storage temperature from -30°C to +70°C. The emitting element is a modulated red LED with a peak emission wavelength of 680 nm.
