The PSI-MOS-RS232/FO 850 E is a fiber optic converter from Phoenix Contact that enables the conversion of RS-232 (V.24) serial interfaces to fiber optic connections, enhancing data transmission over longer distances and providing electrical isolation to prevent interference. It supports data rates up to 115.2 kbps and utilizes an 850 nm wavelength for multimode fiber (PCF/fiberglass). The device features integrated optical diagnostics, an alarm contact, and is approved for use in Zone 2 hazardous areas.
