ABB TZIDC V18345-2022521001 Electro-Pneumatic Positioner is an intelligent, configurable valve positioner with an indicator and operator panel that converts 4–20 mA control signals into precise pneumatic output for DIN/IEC 534 NAMUR linear actuators or VDI/VDE 3845 rotary actuators. The unit features an aluminium housing with IP65 protection and mounting options for both linear and rotary actuators, including variants with a mechanical position indicator. It accepts 4–20 mA input on two wires and can be configured with an LKS adapter and FSK module for HART communication, while electrical connections use 1/2-14 NPT and pneumatic ports use 1/4-18 NPT. The TZIDC typically operates from up to 30 V DC with a current draw around 100 mA, and it delivers a maximum output pressure of 90 psi with an ambient temperature rating up to 85°C. Available configurations include single-acting or double-acting output with fail-safe, fail-free (“fail freeze”) behavior on power loss, ensuring the valve retains or safely reaches a defined position as required.
