ABB 1911JAA01100600STD Circular Chart Recorder
Description:
ABB COMMANDER 1900 Circular Chart Recorder is a rugged, programmable circular-chart recorder and controller that combines four-pen recording with two PID control loops for reliable process visualization and control. Each channel accepts a universal input (thermocouples, PT100, mA, and mV) with no external shunt, and provides transmitter power, an analog output, and a built-in relay, with digital inputs included as standard to support simple interlocks and sequencing. The unit offers dedicated displays for each controller and high-visibility indicators for alarms, plus a true-time event pen facility that lets one pen serve as a multi-position event marker on the same time axis as Pen 1. Chart formats and speeds are flexible: chart speeds are selectable from 1 hour up to 167 hours, with longer ranges such as 7 days or 32 days available without changing charts. Communications are available via Modbus RTU over RS485 for PC/PLC integration. The COMMANDER 1900 is housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure, suitable for panel, wall, or pipe mounting, and includes a polycarbonate window for easy viewing in demanding environments. In addition to recording, it supports a Math block, logic equations, Ramp/Soak profiles, and timers, plus built-in totalizers to accumulate process quantities and the ability to drive external counters via relays. The device is designed to accommodate standard chart formats such as Kent, Taylor, and Chessell with appropriate chart motors, making it adaptable to a range of industrial applications where reliable, real-time process visualization and control are required.
