Description:
ABB Bailey INFI 90 IMASO01 Analog Output Slave Module is a 14-channel analog output slave for the INFI 90 system, designed to convert master commands into precise process signals for field devices. It occupies a single slot in the Module Mounting Unit (MMU) and communicates via the INFI 90 slave expander bus on the MMU backplane, with the P2 edge connector handling bus wiring and P3 supplying output power and the 30‑pin output edge to the termination unit. The module is powered by +24 VDC to operate its analog output circuits, while the TU/TM termination unit couples the ASO signals to the field wiring and must be configured to output the correct ASO signals. Each output channel can be independently configured using DIP switches S2 through S15 to select either current mode (4–20 mA) or voltage mode (1–5 VDC), enabling versatile driving of actuators or meters. In addition, the IMASO01 provides options for output behavior, including a hold mode that preserves the last value in memory and a 100% mode that drives the D/A register to full scale (5 VDC or 20 mA) when selected, with updates occurring to reflect the chosen setting. The INFI 90 bus uses a twelve‑bit parallel slave expander interface, and address selection is performed via a dip/shunt on the MMU backplane to keep slave modules properly segregated within a subsystem. This module, a classic component of the Bailey INFI 90 DCS family, is typically used to drive valves, meters, or other analog load devices from a master module command.
