ABB IMCIS02 Programmable Logic Controller Module

The ABB IMCIS02 is a Bailey Infi 90 Control I/O Slave Module that acts as an I/O interface between field devices and the Infi 90 control system. As a Control I/O Slave, it supplies analog and digital field signals from the process to the Multi-Function Controller or Multi-Function Processor for processing and monitoring. In ABB's Bailey Infi 90 architecture, the IMCIS02 extends the controller’s input/output reach by handling I/O at the slave level and relaying status and measurements to the master for real-time decision making. This module reflects ABB’s long-standing practice of modular I/O in the Infi 90 family (originating from ASEA Brown Boveri) and is used to integrate field signals into the centralized control logic without requiring direct connections to the master.
