ABB N40E is a four-pole, AC-operated contactor relay designed for motor-control and control-circuit switching in industrial automation, featuring a laminated magnet circuit and compatibility with multiple coil voltages such as 230–240 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 240–260 V AC (60 Hz), as well as 400–415 V AC (50 Hz) and 415–440 V AC (60 Hz) for higher-voltage systems. It provides four main contacts with the option of mechanically linked poles to ensure synchronized operation, making it suitable for applications where coordinated switching is essential. When paired with front-mounted auxiliary blocks, the CA5-40E adds four normally open contacts (NO), expanding signaling, interlocking, and feedback capabilities for control circuits; CA5 auxiliary blocks are designed to attach to N40E contactors to create a compact, integrated control solution.
