ABB NFLN-01-KIT Adapter Module For Variable Frequency Drive

The ABB NFLN-01 FLN Adapter Module is an optional fieldbus accessory for ABB variable frequency drives that enables direct FLN connectivity and lets the drive act as a slave on the FLN network. It provides bidirectional communication for control and monitoring: commands such as Start/Stop and speed references, PID process references, and reading status and actual values, with the drive able to reset faults via FLN. The unit is designed for DIN-rail mounting and connects to the drive via a fiber-optic link; a separate X2 terminal block carries the FLN bus signals and the 24 VDC power and earth. X2 terminals carry the FLN signals (TXD, RXD, XMIT, REC, and ERROR) and supply rails (0 V, +24 V) plus earth/ground and shield conductors, with bus-termination switch available to enable proper network termination when required. The module is powered from 24 V DC and draws about 3 W under normal operation, with status LEDs indicating communication activity and fault conditions. The NFLN-01 is intended for ABB drives that support FLN communications and is used in automation environments that require centralized control and monitoring of multiple drives through a single FLN network.
