ABB S2C-A1 Safety Relay

ABB S2C-A1 is a shunt-trip safety relay accessory for ABB S200-series miniature circuit breakers, enabling a remote command to trip the breaker in emergency or safety-related situations. The unit accepts a nominal control voltage of 12 to 60 V, AC or DC, and is intended for field mounting on the right-hand side of the breaker, allowing integration into safety circuits without replacing the primary breaker. Compatible with the S200, S200P, S200M, S200S, as well as the DS200 family (DS200AC, DS200A, DS200MAC, DS200MA), the S2C-A1 ensures a standard shunt-trip interface across these ABB platforms. Physically, the device measures 85 × 69 × 17.5 mm (H × D × W) and weighs about 0.133 kg, making it compact enough to fit in standard control enclosures alongside the associated breaker, with terminals for convenient wiring. Designed as part of ABB's S2C shunt-trip family, the S2C-A1 provides a straightforward remote-trip function that complements protective relays and machine safety architectures, enabling rapid disconnection of power when the control signal is energized.
