Abtech BPGC-08 Enclosure

Abtech BPGC-08 Enclosure is a carbon-loaded GRP (glass-reinforced polyester) housing sized 160 x 160 x 90 mm, weighing about 1.74 kg, designed for hazardous-area installations in demanding industrial environments. The black carbon-loaded finish provides anti-static properties, making it suitable for sensor and terminal-block deployments where static dissipation matters. Built for tough service, it carries IP66/67 protection against dust and water ingress and IK09 impact resistance, with a wide operating temperature range from -65°C to +130°C. The enclosure supports versatile wiring layouts, with entries that can be drilled on any face to accommodate internal components and wiring. It is constructed to resist chemicals and ultraviolet exposure, providing reliable performance in harsh environments. Note that the BPGC variant is not fire rated, unlike some grey BPG enclosures which can achieve PH120 fire-rating when paired with certain ceramic terminals. Common applications include hazardous-area instrumentation enclosures, junction boxes, and sensor housings in petrochemical, offshore, or industrial facilities where robust GRP protection and anti-static performance are required.
