Ace Controls MC225-BP-2459 Mini-Shock Absorber

MC225-BP-2459 is ACE Controls’ MC225 miniature shock absorber with a 0.5-inch stroke and a button-end BP configuration. It employs a hermetically sealed rolling diaphragm, delivering 360 in-lbs of energy capacity per cycle and a low, repeatable return force. The unit mounts in any position and uses a 3/4-16 UNF mounting thread with an integrated positive stop; return force ranges from 1.0 to 1.5 lbs and return time is about 0.3 seconds. It operates in a temperature range from 32°F to 150°F and weighs 0.340 lbs; the outer body features a corrosion-resistant coating, the piston rod is hardened stainless steel (1.4125, AISI 440C), and the rolling diaphragm is EPDM with an oil damping medium. The shock absorber supports a side load angle up to 4° and can be used in pressure chambers up to 101 psi, offering maintenance-free, ready-to-install operation with endurance up to roughly 25 million cycles in continuous use. Typical applications include material handling equipment, packaging equipment, medium robotics, and machine tools where rapid deceleration without rebound is required.
