Ace Controls MC75M-2 Miniature Shock Absorber

Ace Controls MC75M-2 is a self-compensating miniature shock absorber designed for compact spaces, delivering 75 in-lbs of energy per cycle with a 0.40-inch stroke on a durable M12 body. It supports mounting in any position and includes an integrated positive stop to control end-of-stroke movement, making it ideal for tight assemblies. The one-piece outer body is filled with temperature-stable oil and houses a hardened stainless-steel piston rod and a steel rod-end button; elastomer inserts are used in MC25 and MC75 variants, while the locknut is steel. Operating from 14°F to 150°F and capable of handling impact velocities from 0.5 to 12 ft/sec, the MC75M-2 specifies a return force range of 1.0–2.5 lbs and a return time of about 0.3 seconds, with a maximum side-load angle of 2°. Energy capacity can reach 250,000 in-lbs/hour under service conditions, and this model sits within ACE Controls’ MC5 to MC75 family for miniature damping. Applications include miniature slides, handling modules, copiers, and other compact mechanisms requiring repeatable damping and precise end-stop control.
