Action Instruments’ TRANSPAK T700-0001 Loop Powered Isolator is a rugged two‑wire device that takes a 4–20 mA (or 1–20 mA) input signal and reproduces it as an isolated DC current output, powered entirely from the input loop so no separate supply is required. It delivers up to 1800 V of input‑to‑output isolation and a 1:1 current transfer ratio, with a 500 Ω output drive and 10 V maximum compliance for the load. There are two positive output terminals, but only one may be used at a time: terminal 3 supports loads under 100 Ω (about 2 V at 20 mA) and terminal 4 supports loads from 100 Ω to 500 Ω (up to 10 V at 20 mA); a span adjustment is provided to compensate for load variations. The TransPak enclosure uses rugged diecast aluminum with top‑mounted barrier terminals and is designed for industrial field environments, eliminating ground loop problems and offering IEC 801-2 level 3 ESD protection along with UL 508 recognition and CSA certification. Operating conditions include −20 to 80 °C and 25–95% non‑condensing humidity, with a weight of about 0.56 lb and a maximum response time of 50 ms.
