Adaptec ASR-6405E SATA SAS PCI-Express RAID Controller

Adaptec ASR-6405E is a four-port hardware RAID controller for SATA and SAS drives that plugs into a PCI Express slot, delivering a dedicated hardware RAID engine with 128 MB of on-board cache. It supports 6 Gb/s SATA/SAS connections across its four internal ports and provides hardware RAID for data protection with RAID 0, 1, 10, and JBOD modes. Drives connect via an internal Mini‑SAS interface, with Mini‑SAS to SATA cables used to attach SATA or SAS disks. This card is well-suited for entry-level servers, small business storage, network-attached storage systems, workstations, and embedded storage projects where a compact, hardware-accelerated RAID solution is required.
