The Adaptec ASR-71605 is a 16-port SAS/SATA RAID controller card designed for dense internal storage. It fits a low-profile MD2 form factor and plugs into a PCIe Gen3 x8 host bus. The 16 internal SAS/SATA ports are delivered via four mini-SAS HD connectors (SFF-8643), providing up to 6 Gb/s per port for multi-disk arrays in servers or storage enclosures.
