ADDERView CATx 1000 is a high‑density, small‑form‑factor KVM switch from Adder Technology that provides local and remote access to up to 16 multi‑platform servers via CATx cabling. Available in AVX1008 (8‑port) and AVX1016 (16‑port) configurations, it supports USB keyboard and mouse control from any USB‑style input, with full keyboard re‑mapping for cross‑platform use and compatibility with Windows, Linux, macOS, and Sun OS. Video performance reaches up to 1600 x 1200 at 85 Hz with DDC emulation and DC balancing for accurate color, while optional Computer Access Modules and CAMs enable PS/2, USB, or Sun keyboard/mouse connections and, when enabled, CD‑quality audio. The system can cascade with other CATx 1000 switches to support up to 256 computers, and its integrated CATx extender allows control from up to 300 meters away via ADDERLink X200 or X100 receivers; the remote KVM console connects through RJ45. Physically, the unit is 1U tall, 198 mm wide, 120 mm deep, and weighs 750 g, powered by a 100–240 VAC input with a 5 VDC, 2 A supply. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to 40 C, and it carries CE, FCC and UKCA approvals. This switch is well suited for data centers, server rooms, or controlled desktop environments where centralized KVM access to multiple servers is required.
