AMCI-1531 Resolver Interface Module is a 1-channel plug-in resolver interface for the Allen-Bradley SLC 500 PLC platform, occupying a single I/O slot in any SLC 500 rack (including the processor slot). It converts a brushless resolver transducer signal into digital data for the PLC, delivering absolute position with 1024-count resolution and updating position every 200 microseconds; tachometer data is provided at selectable 32 ms or 120 ms intervals with a tachometer resolution of 1 RPM. The module supports transducers such as H25, HT-6, HT-20, HT-400, HT-20-(x), and R11X-J10/7, and provides 1500 Vac input isolation via isolation transformers; backplane power is supplied from the 5 V or 24 V rail (typical 95 mA @ 5 V, 55 mA @ 24 V). Operating environment is 0 to 60 °C and 5 to 95% RH (non-condensing). Programmable parameters include Resolver Type, Scale Factor (counts per turn), Preset Value, Tachometer Response, Count Direction, and Transducer Fault Latch, with the 1532 variant adding a Disable Channel 2 option. This AMCI resolver interface family is designed to deliver position, velocity, and fault data directly to the PLC, enabling reliable integration of resolver-based feedback in automation systems.
