Advantech ADAM-6050 Isolated Digital Input Module
Advantech ADAM-6050 Isolated Digital Input Module
Description:
Advantech ADAM-6050 is an 18-channel isolated digital I/O module that combines 12 digital inputs and 6 sink-type digital outputs for Modbus/TCP Ethernet remote I/O applications. It is powered from 10–30 VDC with a maximum current draw of 100 mA per output channel, while input channels accept wet-contact logic (1 = 10–30 VDC; 0 = 0–3 VDC) or dry-contact logic (0 = near ground; 1 = open), enabling flexible sensor wiring. The unit provides 2,000 VDC isolation between I/O and the host controller, supporting safe operation in electrically noisy industrial environments. Connectivity includes 1 x RJ-45 Ethernet port plus 13-pin and 9-pin plug-in screw terminals for I/O signaling, and it supports a suite of network protocols including Modbus/TCP, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, MQTT, SNMP, and ASCII commands for easy integration with PLCs and SCADA systems. Rated to operate from -40 to 70 C, the ADAM-6050 is suited for harsh industrial settings, where reliable digital input monitoring (limit switches, sensors) and control signaling (sink-type outputs up to 30 VDC and 100 mA per channel) are required across multiple channels. Overall, it provides a robust, Ethernet-based, galvanically isolated I/O solution with a total of 18 channels (12 DI, 6 DO) for scalable automation and remote monitoring.
