Advantech ADAM-6501 Web Communications Controller

The Advantech ADAM-6501 Universal Web-enabled Communication Controller is a compact, DIN-rail or wall-mountable industrial controller built around a 400 MHz Intel XScale processor with an embedded Windows CE.NET operating system and an on-board web server for browser-based management. It provides one RS-232 serial port, one RS-485 port, and a 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface, enabling reliable serial-to-Ethernet communication in harsh environments. With 32 MB of flash storage for Windows CE and user applications and a built-in CompactFlash slot for expandable storage, the ADAM-6501 supports lightweight embedded development with the Microsoft embedded VC++ environment. A real-time clock and a watchdog timer help ensure system reliability, while RS-485 mode offers automatic data flow control and serial speeds up to 115.2 kbps.
