Advantech B&B ZP9D-192RM-MR Zlinx Radio Modem

Advantech B&B SmartWorx Zlinx Radio Modem ZP9D-192RM-MR is a 900 MHz wireless serial data modem that links RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 devices without wired connections. It provides RS-232 via a DB9F DCE port and RS-422/RS-485 through a removable terminal block, making it suitable for PLCs, sensors, and remote telemetry gear in industrial environments. With 100 mW transmit power, it offers up to about 1,500 feet of indoor range and roughly 7 miles outdoors, depending on conditions. Supported serial speeds include 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, and 57600 baud, with data bits (7 or 8), parity (none, even, odd, mark, space), and stop bits (1 or 2) to match a wide array of devices. An external reverse-polarity SMA antenna (omni-directional) is included for straightforward RF installation. The ZP9D-192RM-MR runs with Zlinx Radio Modem software and supports AT Command terminal emulation, modem emulation, and RSSI signal range testing to confirm link quality. The radio address is factory-set and can be modified via software, aligning with other Zlinx devices for scalable deployments.
