Advantech PCL-724 24-Bit Digital Input Output Card Module
Advantech PCL-724 24-Bit Digital Input Output Card Module
Description:
Advantech PCL-724 is a 24‑bit digital I/O card from the PC‑LabCard family that delivers 24 TTL‑level digital channels on a single board for PC‑based automation and data acquisition. Each of the 24 lines can be configured in software as an input or an output, enabling flexible control of external devices such as SSRs, relays, indicators, or digital sensors without additional hardware. The card emulates mode 0 of the 8255 programmable peripheral interface, providing a generalized parallel I/O interface with three 8‑bit groups for straightforward software mapping. Designed for use as an add‑on I/O card in PC systems, the PCL‑724 supports common automation tasks including machine control, test benches, signaling, and peripheral device interfaces. As part of Advantech’s PC‑LabCard line, the card emphasizes simple, software‑driven digital I/O configuration and reliable TTL signaling for synchronous digital operations; for exact electrical characteristics, timing details, and bus interface specifications, consult the current Advantech documentation for the PCL‑724.
