Aero-Space S-M4-1ZI Self-Clinching Nuts

PEM S-M4-1ZI Self-Clinching Nuts are a metric family of permanently installed threaded inserts for sheet metal, providing M4 x 0.7 threads in a flush, load-bearing bore. Available in Types S, SS, CLS, CLSS and SP, these nuts cover steel, stainless steel, and clinch variants to suit different host-material thickness and edge-distance requirements. The S-M4-1ZI designation denotes a standard S-type self-clinching nut with a zinc plate finish (ZI) and an M4 thread; installation is by pressing the nut into a pre-punched hole in the sheet, where it becomes a permanent part of the host material and yields a flush-mount threaded hole for M4 screws. Typical applications include electronic enclosures, instrument panels, chassis, and other metal assemblies where a permanent threaded insert is required in thin sheets.
