AESSEAL SMSS 1.750-14 316L AF1 is a single-cartridge mechanical seal designed for reliable sealing of rotating equipment, sized at 1.750 inches and built around a 316L stainless steel sleeve with a robust gland, offering corrosion resistance for demanding service. The cartridge integrates a 316L stainless steel sleeve, drive ring, and gland, with Alloy 276 springs and a gasket specified as AF1 (GFT options available) to form the primary seal interface, enabling replacement without full pump disassembly. Seal faces vary by option, with a rotary face in Silicon Carbide (SiC) or Tungsten Carbide (TC) and a stationary face in Carbon, SiC, or TC, while O-rings can be selected from FKM, EPR, FFKM, or TFE/P to match chemical compatibility and temperature requirements. Within AESSEAL’s SMSS family, standard sizes cover 24–70 mm (1.000–2.750 in) and 75–125 mm (2.875–5.000 in), and the 1.750-in variant sits squarely in the common 1.000–2.750 in range; typical SMSS configurations also provide external flush, quench, and drain connections via 3/8 NPT ports for easy integration.
