Agilent Technologies RMSN-2 Big Universal Trap
Agilent Technologies RMSN-2 Big Universal Trap
Description:
Agilent RMSN-2 Big Universal Trap is a nitrogen-specific inline gas trap with 1/8 in fittings, designed to sit in the nitrogen line of analytical instruments such as LC/MS and GC systems to protect detectors from contaminants in the gas supply. This RMSN-2 variant features a large 750 cc trap volume and is rated for service up to 300 psig, making it suitable for common laboratory nitrogen pressures. It is part of Agilent’s Big Universal Trap family, with the RMSN-4 offering a larger 1/4 in version for higher-flow applications. Widely used as inline gas purification for nitrogen supplied to ion sources, detectors, or other nitrogen-fed components, the RMSN-2 helps maintain instrument stability by providing a dedicated containment site for contaminants before they reach critical hardware. The unit’s 1/8 in fittings ensure compatibility with standard tubing used in many lab gas lines, supporting straightforward installation in a variety of configurations. In addition to this 1/8 in RMSN-2 variant, researchers and technicians can select the RMSN-4 for expanded flow and different fitting sizes, enabling scalable gas-purification options within Agilent’s gas-purifier lineup.
