Alcatel-Lucent 6850-48X Managed Network Switch

Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6850-48X is a 48-port 10/100/1000BASE-T managed Ethernet switch in the OmniSwitch 6850 family, featuring 48 non-shared copper ports (1–48) plus two 10-Gigabit XFP uplink connectors (49–50). It ships with dual PS-126W-AC power supplies for redundant AC power and can be stacked with up to seven additional OmniSwitch 6850 units to form a single fabric of up to 384 ports, ideal for scalable campus distribution and access layers. Two XFP uplinks provide 10 Gb/s fiber connectivity for uplink to core or distribution layers, enabling flexible topologies and high-bandwidth aggregation. The OS6850-48X runs on Alcatel-Lucent Operating System (AOS) and is designed to integrate with other OmniSwitch platforms in enterprise networks, providing a familiar management experience and a cohesive feature set across the 6850 family.
