Allen-Bradley 160-BMB2 Dynamic Braking Module
Allen-Bradley 160-BMB2 Dynamic Braking Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 160-BMB2 Dynamic Brake Module is a 2–3 HP braking accessory designed to dissipate regenerative energy from compatible Allen-Bradley drives in three-phase, 0–460 VAC systems. As part of the 160-series Dynamic Brake Module family, the 160-BMB2 increases braking torque for faster, more controlled deceleration, and in higher-demand installations two units may be installed in parallel to meet braking capacity. It is specified for 50/60 Hz operation with a three-phase supply and is documented alongside other 160-series modules (such as 160-BMA1/2 and 160-BMB1) for use with Allen-Bradley drives and migration paths to PowerFlex. When selecting a braking solution, verify drive compatibility and follow wiring and safety guidelines per the official manuals to ensure proper performance and safe operation.
