Allen-Bradley 1719-AENTR Ethernet I Communications Module
Allen-Bradley 1719-AENTR Ethernet I Communications Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1719-AENTR Ex I/O EtherNet/IP Adapter is the interface that brings hazardous-area 1719 Ex I/O modules onto an EtherNet/IP control network. Designed for Zone 2/Class I, Division 2 environments, it connects the field devices in the 1719 Ex I/O family to a Rockwell Automation controller through EtherNet/IP, enabling remote I/O communication without exposing the control system to the hazardous area. The adapter must be used with the 1719-PSDC power supply module to power the 1719 Ex I/O rack, and it provides an LCD status display for configuration and system information. This model is part of Allen-Bradley’s Ex I/O line and supports standard EtherNet/IP communications, forming the gateway between the process field signals and the PLC/RTU network. Typical applications include hazardous-area sensors, valves, and other I/O signals routed from Zone 2 locations back to a Rockwell PLC, enabling centralized monitoring and control while maintaining safety compliance. The 1719-AENTR is designed to be mounted in Zone 2 environments and to integrate with the 1719 Ex I/O backplane, allowing straightforward expansion of hazardous-area I/O with Rockwell software tools.
