Allen-Bradley 1732ES-IB12XOBV2 ArmorBlock Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1732ES-IB12XOBV2 ArmorBlock Input Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1732ES-IB12XOBV2 ArmorBlock Guard I/O EtherNet/IP Safety Module combines 12 digital safety inputs and two solid-state bipolar outputs on a single EtherNet/IP network. Operating from a 24V DC supply, each input accepts 11–30V DC and draws a small current for safety-rated sensing, while the two outputs provide pilot-duty safe switching up to 2 A per channel to drive actuators or solenoids in guarded safety circuits. The unit is IP67-rated and uses M12 I/O connectors for rugged, field-installable wiring, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments. Typical power characteristics at 24V DC include no-load input current around 175 mA for the device, with the output side capable of independent safe power delivery (no-load around 65 mA). As part of Allen-Bradley’s ArmorBlock line, this module communicates over EtherNet/IP Safety, enabling integrated monitoring, diagnostics, and safety-rated I/O extension across compatible Rockwell automation controllers. Common use cases include safety sensor networks, guarded-machine interlocks, emergency-stop integration, and coordination of safe actuators in automated lines, with the 1732ES-IB12XOBV2 designed to interface with GuardLogix or other safety controllers through standard EtherNet/IP networks.
