Allen-Bradley 1732ES-IB8XOB8 Ethernet I/O Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1732ES-IB8XOB8 ArmorBlock Guard EtherNet/IP Safety I/O Module is a distributed safety input/output block that provides eight digital I/O inputs and eight solid-state safety outputs over a single EtherNet/IP connection. Designed for rugged on‑machine environments, it carries an IP67 rating and is part of the ArmorBlock Guard I/O family, enabling safety-related sensing and control without routing everything through a central safety controller. The input side accepts 11–30 V DC signals (typical 24 V nominal), with a per‑input draw of about 3.5 mA, while the eight safety outputs are current-sourcing with up to 2 A max per point (1 A max per point at higher temperatures) and operate from a 19.2–28.8 V DC supply. Safety outputs include electronic short-circuit detection and protection to help maintain safe operation in demanding environments. This module is optimized for safety‑critical tasks such as emergency stop circuits, guarding sensors, and interlocks, and it integrates seamlessly with Rockwell Automation’s EtherNet/IP safety architecture, allowing safe I/O to be distributed across the machine or line while keeping wiring compact and robust. With eight inputs and eight high‑integrity safety outputs, the 1732ES-IB8XOB8 supports scalable safety solutions in applications requiring rapid, networked safety status reporting and deterministic control across Rockwell’s ArmorBlock ecosystem.
