Allen-Bradley 1734-8CFG DC Input Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1734-8CFG is a POINT I/O digital module that provides eight configurable 24V DC points in a single, compact package. Each I/O point can function as either a DC input or a DC output, enabling mixed configurations on one device and simplifying wiring for small automation tasks. The module is self-configuring within the POINT I/O family and is designed to mount on a POINT I/O backplane and connect to Rockwell controllers. Data handling is straightforward: when configured as inputs, the module produces 1 byte of input data; when configured as outputs, it consumes 1 byte of output data. Electrical specs support standard 24V DC systems: 24V nominal operating voltage; on-state input voltage is defined as at least 11V DC; on-state output voltage range is 10 to 28.8V DC. The eight configurable points can be used for sensing devices such as limit switches or for driving actuators like solenoids within the 24V DC range. Compatible with a wide range of Rockwell Automation controllers, the 1734-8CFG is part of the POINT I/O product line and offers scalable I/O expansion for compact control panels. Note that this module is not intended to be used with certain terminal bases such as 1734-TB3, 1734-TB3S, 1734-TOP3, or 1734-TOP3S, which affects how it is wired in some rack configurations.
