Allen-Bradley 1734-8CFG Self-Configuring I/O Module
Allen-Bradley 1734-8CFG Self-Configuring I/O Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1734-8CFG is an eight-point POINT I/O digital module for 24V DC devices, featuring self-configuring I/O that lets each channel be configured as either an input or an output. The open-style, DIN-mounted module is designed for compact, field-deployable I/O within a Rockwell Automation ecosystem, enabling flexible digital I/O in small automation tasks. It is not compatible with 1734-TB3, 1734-TB3S, 1734-TOP3, or 1734-TOP3S terminal bases, so wiring and enclosure choices must align with the supported bases. As part of the POINT I/O family, the 1734-8CFG plugs into a POINT I/O backplane and interfaces with compatible controllers over the EtherNet/IP/Backplane network, delivering eight configurable 24V DC points suitable for generic sensing and actuation—such as sensors, switches, and relays—at the machine level within a DIN-rail environment.
