Allen-Bradley 1734-ADN DeviceNet Adapter is a 24V DC DeviceNet interface module for the POINT I/O system that provides the network connection between a DeviceNet master and the POINT I/O backplane. It supports DeviceNet speeds of 125K, 250K, or 500K bps and supports up to 63 POINT I/O modules totaling 504 I/O points in the system. It requires a separate 24V DC field power supply (10–28.8V DC) capable of about 400 mA; the adapter consumes about 8.1 W at 28.8V, and provides 50V continuous isolation (800V for 60 seconds) between the field and network. Typically installed as the starter module on the left side of a POINT I/O 1734 system; ADN(X) variants add a second connector to extend a subnet.
