Allen-Bradley 1734-DIB16 Digital Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1734-DIB16 Digital Input Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1734-DIB16 is a 16-channel digital input module for the POINT I/O/PointBlock family that monitors discrete 24V DC signals on a distributed control network. It is powered by a field supply of 24V DC (nominal) with a range of 10–28.8V and feeds 16 input channels via Cage-Clamp terminals. Each channel presents an ON-state current of 6.3 mA nominal at 24V (2.5 mA min, 7.6 mA max) with an OFF-state voltage limited to 5V and an OFF-state current of at least 1.5 mA; input impedance is 4.7 kΩ max (3.6 kΩ nominal). The module communicates over POINTBus/DeviceNet, drawing up to 95 mA on DeviceNet per module, and up to 350 mA when expanded to 12 POINT I/O modules. Visual status is provided by 1 red/green module status indicator, 1 red/green network status indicator, and 16 yellow I/O status indicators. Electrical isolation between user power and the DeviceNet network is 850 V DC for 1 s, supporting safe operation in mixed-voltage environments. Power dissipation is up to 2.0 W at 24V, with a total field-bus power consumption up to 8.2 W. The module uses Cage-Clamp terminals and measures 3.00 in high, 2.36 in wide, and 5.25 in long (76.2 × 60.0 × 133.4 mm).
