Allen-Bradley 1734-FPD Field Distribution Module

The Allen-Bradley 1734-FPD Field Potential Distributor Module is a POINT I/O function that interrupts the internal POINT I/O field power bus and routes a separate, user-supplied power to downstream modules on the field side. In a POINT I/O installation, the FPD breaks the backplane’s field power path and distributes a dedicated 12/24 V DC or 120/240 V AC supply (up to 264 V AC, 10 A) to the modules to its right, enabling higher field loads or different voltage domains without loading the controller’s backplane. This module does not power the POINT I/O backplane itself; it simply provides power to adjacent I/O blocks, improving isolation and flexibility in power planning for larger or multi-voltage I/O trees. The 1734-FPD is part of the Allen-Bradley POINT I/O family and is available in variations such as 1734-FPDK and 1734-FPDB, reflecting different series configurations.
