Allen-Bradley 1734-IB2 2-Point Digital Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1734-IB2 2-Point Digital Input Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1734-IB2 is a POINT I/O digital input module that provides two 24 V DC, sinking input channels for the 1734 POINT I/O system. Each channel accepts a 24 V DC signal in the 10–28.8 V nominal range (on-state), drawing about 2–4 mA per channel at 24 V, with off-state voltage limited to 5 V and off-state current at least 1.5 mA. The module’s input impedance is up to 4.7 kΩ, and total power dissipation is 0.7 W maximum at 28.8 V. It communicates via the POINT Bus, with a maximum PointBus current of 75 mA from the 5 V-side supply. The 1734-IB2 mounts in a 1734 chassis using a base such as 1734-TB, 1734-TBS, 1734-TOP, or 1734-TOPS, and its field wiring is isolated from the backplane according to the 1734 family specifications. Field power for the inputs is supplied from a 24 V dc source in the nominal 24 V range. The module measures two digital inputs and is commonly used to sense devices such as limit switches, proximity sensors, and other 24 V DC sensors in machine automation and conveyor applications where reliable, inexpensive digital sensing is required.
