Allen-Bradley 1734-IB8 8-Channel Digital Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1734-IB8 is an eight-channel digital input module for the POINT I/O system that provides 24V DC sinking inputs, ideal for reading switches and sensors in industrial automation. It accepts 11–30V DC on-state signals (nominal 24V) and draws 2–5 mA per input, with a typical 4 mA per input at 24V; each channel is designed for a low-voltage off-state that limits input when not active. The module supports a hardware input filter of 0.5 ms plus a user-selectable 0–63 ms to tailor debouncing, and it consumes power in line with Rockwell specifications, with a maximum dissipation around 1.6 W at 28.8V. As a POINT I/O device, the 1734-IB8 communicates over the POINT Bus backplane (the 5V DC backplane) and is designed to be used alongside other 1734 I/O modules in a scalable network for factories, conveyors, and process control where discrete 24V signals are monitored.
