The Allen-Bradley 1734-IB8 POINT I/O eight-channel digital input module provides 24V DC sinking inputs for integration with POINT I/O networks in CompactLogix and ControlLogix systems. Each of the eight channels accepts a 24V DC input, with a maximum per-channel input current of 5 mA. The module draws up to 75 mA from the POINT Bus and dissipates about 1.6 W of power (roughly 5.5 BTU/hr). Common applications include reading signals from pushbuttons, limit switches, and other 24V DC field devices, enabling scalable expansion of a PLC I/O network.
