Allen-Bradley 1734-IB8S 8-Channel 24VDC Safety Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1734-IB8S is an eight-channel POINT Guard I/O safety input module that integrates with Rockwell Automation safety networks to monitor 24V DC field signals for GuardLogix/CompactLogix safety applications. Each of the eight inputs is a safety-rated current-sinking input that accepts a 24V DC on-state voltage in the 11–30V DC range and a low/off-state voltage near or below 5V DC, enabling reliable detection of safety devices such as interlocks, presence sensors, and emergency-stop circuits. The module is powered from a 24V DC POINTBus supply (nominal 24V DC with a 19.2–28.8V DC range) and fits a compact DIN-rail footprint, measuring 3.03 x 0.98 x 2.17 inches and weighing about 2.2 oz, with a typical power dissipation of 3.4 W. Series A and B variants exist, and the 1734-IB8S provides eight safety inputs designed for use in safety-rated control circuits and safe-stop implementations in industrial automation operating in temperatures from -20 to 55 C.
