Allen-Bradley 1734-IB8S Analog Safety Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1734-IB8S is a POINT Guard I/O safety input module that provides eight 24V DC safety input channels for the 1734 POINT I/O system and is designed to mount in a terminal base with eight terminations. Each channel is a current-sinking input with an on-state threshold of at least 11 VDC and an off-state maximum of 5 VDC, supporting input currents from 0–20 mA (including 4–20 mA configurations) to accommodate common safety sensors such as door interlocks, presence sensors, and light curtains. The module includes four pulse-test outputs (up to 0.7 A per point) to verify circuit integrity, along with electronic short-circuit protection, and it operates from a 24V DC supply across a -20 to +55 C range; it is part of Rockwell's POINT Guard I/O safety family and intended for use as a safety input module in GuardLogix or similar safety interfaces.
