Allen-Bradley 1734-IB8S is a POINT Guard I/O digital safety input module that provides eight 24V DC safety input channels for safety circuits in GuardLogix/CompactLogix safety networks. The inputs are current-sinking and are designed to connect to safety devices, with compatibility to terminal bases that provide eight terminations. Electrical characteristics include an on-state input voltage of at least 11 V DC and an off-state voltage no greater than 5 V DC, an input current range of 0–20 mA, and operation from -20 to 55 C. As part of the POINT Guard I/O family, it delivers safety input data to the controller for safe-state signaling across the network.
