Allen-Bradley 1734-IE8C Point I/O Analog Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1734-IE8C Point I/O Analog Input Module
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1734-IE8C is an 8-channel, high-density POINT I/O analog input module that accepts 4–20 mA current signals and converts them to 16‑bit digital values for precise monitoring in distributed I/O networks. It operates from a 24 VDC supply and is designed for installation in a POINT I/O backplane, typically paired with compatible Rockwell Automation controllers, enabling scalable distributed sensing across a rack or remotely in the field. Each of its eight channels provides 16-bit resolution over a 0–21 mA input range, enabling fine-grained sensing of process signals, while channel-level diagnostics flag wiring or sensor faults on individual channels and support quick fault isolation. The module uses Sigma-Delta input conversion and returns data as 16‑bit signed integers, aligning with standard POINT I/O analog input behavior and easing integration with common PLC data models. As part of the POINT I/O family, the 1734-IE8C supports high-density analog input expansion without a dedicated rack, making it well suited for 4–20 mA instrumentation loops in industrial automation, process control, and machine-automation projects that require reliable, localized measurement close to the sensors.
