Allen-Bradley 1734-IT2I 2-Channel Thermocouple Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1734-IT2I is a two-channel isolated thermocouple input module for the POINT I/O system that converts thermocouple voltages into digital data on the POINTBus. It operates from the 24V DC backplane with no external power supply required, drawing up to 175 mA from the POINTBus at 5V. Each channel accepts thermocouple signals with a full-scale range of ±75 mV and delivers a 16‑bit measurement, producing 8 bytes of input data per cycle. The module provides continuous 50V isolation between the input signals and the controller, protecting the host from field-side transients in industrial environments. With two thermocouple inputs, it enables precise temperature monitoring for applications such as process control, HVAC/industrial heating, and other temperature-critical monitoring scenarios, all within the compact footprint of a POINT I/O module (56.6 mm H x 12.1 mm W x 77.5 mm D).
