The Allen-Bradley 1734-OB8S POINT Guard I/O 8-Channel Safety Sourcing Output Module delivers eight 24V DC safety outputs for GuardLogix POINT I/O safety networks, enabling direct, monitored control of safety actuators with built-in diagnostic feedback and channel-status indicators. Each channel is rated for up to 1 A, with a total aggregate current of 8 A per module (4 A per terminal base) at 40 °C, allowing safe distribution of loads across two terminal bases and maintaining safety margins. The OB8S supports pulse-test diagnostic and readback, enabling continuous verification of output state during operation. In Guard I/O safety configurations, single-channel mode is certified for functional safety, with dual-channel operation available to provide redundancy in higher-safety applications. As part of the POINT Guard I/O safety family, the OB8S integrates with GuardLogix safety controllers to deliver reliable, monitorable safety outputs for industrial automation.
