Allen-Bradley 1734-OB8S-B Backplane Interface Module

The Allen-Bradley 1734-OB8S-B is an eight-channel safety output module for the POINT I/O system, designed for 24V DC safety signaling and current-sourcing loads. Part of the POINT Guard I/O safety family, it plugs into a POINT I/O backplane and occupies a single I/O slot to deliver safety outputs to control devices such as safety relays, interlocks, or actuators. As a Series B device, it supports removal/insertion under power (RIUP) for maintenance without shutting down the backplane and provides pulse-test diagnostic and readback capabilities to verify channel status. This module is used in safety-critical applications to implement guarded stop and safe-stop circuits while coordinating with other POINT I/O modules in a single POINT PACK for scalable, modular safety architectures.
