The Allen-Bradley 1734-OB8S is an 8-channel safety digital output module for POINT Guard I/O that provides 24V DC sourcing outputs to field devices. Designed for safety-related applications, it continuously monitors outputs with built‑in fault diagnostics, including pulse-test diagnostic and readback of output status to the controller. The module draws its operating power from the PointBus supply (nominal 24V DC, SELV/PELV, with a 150 VA max on the bus) and is series B hardware capable of eight safety outputs in a DIN-rail mounted POINT I/O rack, commonly used to drive safety relays or actuators within ISO 13849-1 and IEC 61508 safety architectures.
