Allen-Bradley 1734-OBV2S Safety Digital Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1734-OBV2S POINT Guard I/O Safety Digital Output Module provides four safety digital outputs arranged as two bipolar output pairs, enabling fail-safe control of safety devices in a POINT I/O network. Each output point/bipolar pair supports up to 1.25 A continuous current at 40 °C (0.5 A at 55 °C), with an aggregate module rating of 2.0 A at 40 °C (0.8 A at 55 °C) across all outputs. The module includes integrated short-circuit detection (high, low, and cross-fault) and electronic short-circuit protection, with a response time of less than 6.2 ms. Its pulse-width is 475 µs and pulse period 575 ms, and leakage current is up to 1.0 mA, while the on-state voltage drop is approximately 0.33 V per bipolar pair. Sensor power current per point is limited to 0.7 A at 40 °C (0.3 A at 55 °C). Designed for use with Allen-Bradley POINT I/O controllers, the OBV2S enables safe switching of loads such as safety relays and interlocks, delivering reliable, fail-safe operation within safety-rated control architectures.
