Allen-Bradley 1734-OE2C Output Expander Module
Allen-Bradley 1734-OE2C Output Expander Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1734-OE2C is a two-channel analog current-output module for the POINT I/O family. Each channel provides a single-ended, non-isolated 4–20 mA output (configurable to 0–20 mA) powered from the 24 V DC POINT Bus and controlled by a digital-to-analog converter with a 13‑bit resolution. The module delivers factory-calibrated accuracy of 0.1% full scale at 25 °C, with temperature drift of about 16.7 ppm/°F (30 ppm/°C), and a fast response of approximately 24 μs to reach 63% of full scale. Load requirements are 0–750 Ω per output, and per-channel power dissipation is about 1.23 W at 750 Ω (1.83 W with no load). For robustness, it supports a surge current of up to 2 A for 10 ms, repeatable every 3 seconds. In typical automation setups, the 1734-OE2C expands analog control capabilities for process loops, valve control, and other actuators, adding two precise current outputs to a POINT I/O chassis. The module is designed for 24 V DC operation with Point Bus current draw around 75 mA at 5 V, enabling compact, scalable integration with other POINT I/O digital and analog modules.
