Allen-Bradley 1734-PDN Interface Module

Allen-Bradley 1734-PDN is a POINT I/O DeviceNet Interface Module that serves as the DeviceNet communication bridge for a POINT I/O rack. It provides eight built‑in digital input circuits and eight built‑in digital output circuits, enabling sixteen distinct POINT I/O signals to interface directly with the DeviceNet network. The module draws DeviceNet power from the network at 24V DC (up to 400 mA) and converts that supply to 5V DC backplane power for the POINT I/O modules in the rack. It supports DeviceNet data rates of 125 kbit/s, 250 kbit/s, and 500 kbit/s, with the actual rate depending on cable length (up to 100 m at 500 kbit/s). A standard DeviceNet cable (Allen‑Bradley 1485C‑P1‑Cxxx) is used for networking. As the starter module in a POINT I/O system, 1734-PDN is typically located on the left side of the rack, and the module supports configurations allowing up to 17 POINT I/O modules in a single DeviceNet network, facilitating scalable expansion.
