Allen-Bradley 1738-AENT ArmorPoint EtherNet IP Adapter Module
Allen-Bradley 1738-AENT ArmorPoint EtherNet IP Adapter Module
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1738-AENT ArmorPoint EtherNet/IP Adapter Module is the field-side interface that connects ArmorPoint I/O to an EtherNet/IP network. This Series A Ethernet adapter provides an EtherNet/IP communications path for ArmorPoint I/O devices via an EtherNet/IP port and uses M12 Quick-Disconnect field wiring connectors. It operates on 10–28 V DC input; field-side power requirements are 24 V DC at about 30 mA, with total power consumption of about 4.5 W at 24 V. Inrush current can reach up to 6 A for 10 ms, and the maximum power dissipation is 2.8 W at 28.8 V. The module is designed to power and bridge ArmorPoint I/O to Rockwell Automation control systems, enabling digital and analog ArmorPoint modules to be addressed over EtherNet/IP in industrial automation installations where a 24 V DC field supply is standard.
